Ginisang Munggo

Ginisang Munggo is a simple yet hearty mung bean stew that is cooked with shrimp, fish or thinly sliced pork. It goes perfectly well with steamed rice. Ginisa in the Philippines is known as the Filipino Trinity of cooking. It is comprised of chopped onions, garlic and tomatoes. It serves as the base for so many Filipino dishes such as the thick and rich munggo bean stew.
